A safe and very effective hands-on technique using a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy and involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Trigger Point Therapy
When stressed or injured, muscles often form trigger points, like contracted knots, that cause pain and tightness. A trigger point is the contraction mechanism of the muscle locked into a shortened position; the treatment of the trigger point involves unlocking that contraction mechanism by applying pressure release followed by stretching the muscle to realign the fibers.
Active Isolated Stretching
A specific stretching to becoming more agile and less injured. It consists of isolating the muscle to be stretched by actively contracting the opposite muscle.
Combines motor control theory and manual muscle testing. It identifies the relationship between structures in a movement imbalance. It is an excellent modality in rehabilitation and manual therapy because it not only identifies the cause of pain and dysfunction, but also corrects it very quickly and quite painlessly.
